Marielle Huey is a director and producer telling culturally resonant narratives across film, television, editorial, and branded content that connect to audiences worldwide.
As VP of Content and Development at GALERIE, Marielle oversaw all programming, partnerships, and original productions. She licensed films, led partnerships, directed and produced digital shorts, and collaborated with high-profile curators and filmmakers including Ethan Hawke, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Taylor Russell, Kim Gordon, Mike Mills, and Karyn Kusama.
Her directing and producing credits include documentary and scripted series for Netflix, Hulu, CNN, PBS, Bravo, MTV, and History Channel, working with talents such as David Chang, Seth Rogen, Kate McKinnon, Lena Waithe, Padma Lakshmi, Cord Jefferson and Nick Kroll. Notable projects include The Detour (CNN), The Next Thing You Eat (Hulu), Worn Stories (Netflix), Ugly Delicious (Netflix), and all digital shorts for Galerie. She has also helmed branded campaigns for Smirnoff, Walgreens, and digital platforms.
She maintains strong ties to the film community through long-standing work with the Telluride Film Festival, facilitating premieres, Q&As, and student programs. She has been a member of the Directors Guild of America since 2020.
Her career began in Berlin’s vibrant music and media scene, a chapter that continues to inform the global perspective she brings to every project.
